Today we take you to the home of Agnieszka and Arek, a couple married for over 30 years, the protagonists of our new episode in the series “Your home, your doors”. It is a story about closeness and rediscovering a shared home.
Today, when their sons already live “on their own”, the four corners of Arek and Agnieszka’s place resound with the silence that was once missing. It is a peaceful space where they can close the door, savour privacy and simply be together, just the two of them. For them, the door of the home is a symbol not only of safety, but also of a boundary marking an intimate piece of the world. As they recall, the motif of doors has run through their shared life from the very beginning – from the first entry into a new flat, through that special moment when Arek carried Agnieszka over the threshold right after the wedding.
Their home remains open to those closest to them, and when the last conversations fade and they are left alone with each other, they appreciate the silence, the calm and the feeling that this is exactly where they are truly at home.
Complementing this story are the DRE Nestor 10 doors in warm grey, which discreetly appear in the background of the conversation. Their modern form perfectly harmonises with the character of the interior.
What do the doors of your home mean to you? What memories come back when you close them behind you? Comment, we are waiting for your stories!
