KIOTO COLLECTION – out of love for wood

DRE Supreme is an exclusive line of doors that we created together with architect Krzysztof Miruć. In it, we combined our many years of experience in producing high-quality door joinery with a passion for beautiful furnishing elements from the renowned designer.

Designed together with Krzysztof Miruć, the line had its premiere in spring 2022 and since then we have continued to develop it. We add new models and technical solutions, such as doors with a reversed rebate, and this year we presented an entirely new KIOTO collection.

KIOTO inspired by Japanese minimalism

KIOTO is the first collection in the Supreme line to use a wood motif, which after a long period of Poles' fascination with white and bright interiors, is returning to favor. In this collection, we present the theme of wood fully modernized, while maintaining elegance and a minimalist character. We draw inspiration from magical Kyoto in Japan, where modern architecture harmoniously coexists with the richness of nature and trees.

In the KIOTO collection, every element is unique – precisely selected wood-like laminates with subtle charm, enlivened by modern marquetry in brushed steel and black (mat moro). Carefully refined details emphasize the natural beauty of wood, paying tribute to its authentic expression. We admire the rawness of wood and its simplicity, which gives interiors a unique character. The contemporary design that guided us while creating the collection is a tribute to tradition and at the same time a discovery of modern trends. As a result, we created four models that fit perfectly into various interior arrangements, giving them a subtle yet sophisticated expression.

For the production of door leaves, we used 0.8 mm thick laminate with a horizontal grain pattern that resembles wood almost perfectly. The same technology is used in furniture production and is a durable alternative to veneers. In the KIOTO collection, two shades of oak are available, as well as a laminate whose color and texture resemble pine wood. Thanks to this, the doors can be matched to almost any color scheme. Functionality on par with aesthetics

Following the Japanese spirit of minimalism, we decided to focus on simplicity and functionality. That is why KIOTO doors are equipped with modern and practical solutions that ensure durability for years and comfort of use every day. Rebate-free door leaves are available in hinged, sliding, and reversed rebate versions. We especially recommend this solution for interiors with a large number of doors, where we want to maintain a minimalist and consistent style.

In KIOTO door leaves, we used magnetic locks. When completing the door, the customer can choose the color of the hinges and, for an additional fee, choose a magic magnetic lock, a konzerva handle, and order trimming or installation of an aluminum ventilation grille.

For those who value silence

KIOTO is the perfect solution for the private zone in a home. The collection offers the SILENT package for an additional fee, which provides acoustic insulation at a level of 37 dB. This is an excellent solution for rooms where soundproofing and cutting off sounds from the rest of the home are needed. We recommend doors with the SILENT 37 dB package for bedrooms, children's rooms, or studies. Importantly, the system is available only in the rebate-free door version with a magnetic lock for a handle, with acoustic filling and a drop-down seal.
